4 years & still suffering
I am 39 yrs. old. I am not overweight by any means and yet I was diagnosed over 4 years ago w/ GERD. I have since had two 24 hr. Ph studies, 2 endoscopies & a motility study. I've been on Prevacid, Achiphex, Protonix & Nexium & back to Prevacid again. I have now contacted a surgeon at UCLA Medical Center who says I am a candidate for the Laparoscopis Nissen Fundoplication surgery. To say I am nervous & hesitant is an understatement.
