Acid reflux

For more years then I care to count, I have had Acid Reflux. I usually wake up at night with acid reflux and heart burn so bad, that would stop an elephant. The Acid Reflux would be so bad that I would end up vomiting a horrible tasting acidity bile. Now a few years ago I started to get chest pains, at first my doctor thought it was my heart. In the past few years I have every test for the heart known to man. Now the early part of this year (2005), I had my fist EGD, that is when it was discovered that I have Barrett's Esophagus, so I was put on all kinds of medications to try to stop the reflux. Nothing would work, in fact some of the medications made my acid reflux worse. Now my gastroentrologist is going to try a Enteryx procedure to try to control my reflux. I have read some on this procedure and sounds better then surgury. Is there anyone out there who had this procedure done and how do you feel now? Did it work for you?
